Tools to help you apply for the 2018 EYC
January 19, 2015 - YFJ
Interested in becoming the European Youth Capital for 2018? Do you have questions about what it takes to be a serious contender? Check out the European Youth Capital website, where the Youth Forum has compiled a toolkit that can help candidate cities strengthen their application.
The policy toolkit gives a clear overview of European youth policies and has key documents containing information on how to develop a strong program of activities for a potential European Youth Capital. These documents also give great insight on planning sustainable youth policies for your city.
The detailed guidelines produced by Maribor – the EYC 2013 – further help cities link European with national and local youth policies. The charter on the participation of Young People in Local Life contains a lot of inspiring best-practice examples on how to actively involve youth on local and regional levels. These documents are a great resource for any city that is interested in becoming 2018’s European Youth Capital.
The goal of a European Youth Capital is to create a link between local and European youth policies. We believe that young people working with other young people can have powerful results. The deadline to apply is the 28th of February 2015 so check out the policy toolkits today!
