Thessaloniki (Greece) is the European Youth Capital 2014. The second biggest city of Greece is famous for its youth community and the title that has been chosen for the 2014 activities is “Time”.
The word and concept of “time” aims at presenting the history of the city and its role in South-Eastern Europe, as well as its future perspectives, development and transition towards its social revival.
The city’s 2014 programme comprises a wide range of actions, carried out on the basis of four pillars: creation, participation, special social groups and new social movements. Those pillars define the actions, the interventions and the context within which the municipality is working.
